Ghanaian representative in CAF Women’s Champions League in WAFU Zone B, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, are preparing for upcoming matches and as such, the Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has donated 50,000 cedis to the team.
The cash donation was presented to the team on behalf of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the team’s camping base. He urged the team to go all out and make Ghana proud during the qualifying games in neighboring Cote D’ivoire.
Skipper of Ampem Darkoa Ladies Justice Tweneboah, in receiving the cash donation expressed happiness and appreciation over the king gesture from Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“We never anticipated this surprise from our Vice President and I wish to extend our profound gratitude to the Veep for this gift. We thank him very much and may the good Lord replenish him on our behalf. We are giving him our highest assurance that we shall go and deliver in Cote d’Ivoire.” Said Justice Tweneboah during the cash donation.
The Ghanaian double winners are tipped for remarkable performances during the games. Ampem Darkoa Ladies will commence WAFU Zone B journey on August 20, 2022.
Preparations have been ongoing smoothly for the playing bodies as they look to play a game or two before they depart.
