The Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwa, says the recall of Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, could dwindle the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) chances of retaining the seat during an election.
Mr. Dankwa made this claim based on research conducted by his outfit in Dome Kwabenya.
Per the recent Dome Kwabenya poll, the result of a by-election could give the opposition candidate a swing of nearly 98% from Adwoa Sarfo’s margin in 2020 elections, if there is just 50% turnout.
This will be an electoral tsunami in Ghana’s elections. The poll has a sample of 538, 95% confidence level and 4.2% margin of error. Faustina Elikplim Akurugu 59%, Mike Oquaye Jnr. 34%.
It’s going to be another heated election between the National Democratic Congress [NDC] and the New Patriotic Party [NPP] in the Dome Kwabenya Constituency respectively.
The NDC is hugely ahead should a by-election is held today. Going into 2024 parliamentary elections, it’s an open race between Elikplim Akurugu and either Mike Oquaye Jnr or Sarah Adwoa Safo.
