In politics, it is said there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies. Your best friend today can become your worse enemy tomorrow while your worse enemy today becomes your best friend tomorrow.
The former deputy General Secretary for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has brought this believe to live with his unstable posture.
Mr. Koku Anyidoho who is now a bossom friend to the President of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo such that the head of state considers him a better relative to late President Mills was once an ardent enemy to the same President few years ago. Ironically he no longer see eye to eye with NDC, a party that made him whom he is.
In a video intercepted by CitizenOne, the then deputy General Secretary was blasting President Akufo Addo to the core. He said the NPP wss only good at sloganeering with empty promises. He said all their flagship programs such as one district one factory, one village one dam etc were just to deceive the masses.
Anyidoho challenged someone to show him any functional factory constructed by Nana under the one district one factory initiative.
He didn’t end it there, he also took a swipe at ace journalist Kwaku Baako Jnr who is always at the defending end when it comes to Nana Addo’s poor performance. According to him Mr. Baako was jumping from radio station to radio station with fake documents to back his false claims. He alleged that most of the documents the journalist used had been rebutted yet he shamelessly used them in the name of evidence.
It will be recalled that during the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the passing of late President Mills, Koku Anyidoho was everywhere as if he is a family member to the late President. He became so powerful that Nana Addo embossed his name on a plaque attached to a statue believed to be that of late President Mills.
Meanwhile the family of the late President has expressed dissatisfaction over the posturing of Anyidoho and his so called Atta Mills Institute. According to Dr. Cadman Mills, the institute was not sanctioned by the family hence unappreciated and unwelcomed. Dr. Cadman served notice that the family will use every legitimate means to close down that institute.
Following this, Mr. Anyidoho has also served notice that the Atta Mills Institute will change name in the coming days to Koku Anyidoho Institute (KAI). He however didn’t give details to the new institute except to say that KAI will project the ideologies of John Evans Atta Mills.
In a related development, after holding banter with the family for a long time, Anyidoho is reported to has apologised to the family of late President Mills for what he did. He twitted, “to err is human but to forgive is devine. I am therefore on my knees asking for forgiveness from you Dr. Cadman and family“
The family has not reacted to the twit.
