Some days ago, a group called , “Alliance For Footsoldiers Advocacy (AFFA), a volunteer group within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) called on the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo to reshuffle his ministers. According to the group, some ministers have underperformed and needs to be changed for other competent people to also take over.
When this information hit the desk of the President, he has also reacted to it and according to him, his ministers are performing well so he has no reason to change a performing team.
Today, Mr Jonathan Asante Okyere, a Senior Lecturer in University of Cape Coast (UCC) has added his voice into the ongoing discussions.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, Mr Jonathan Asante Okyere revealed that President Akuffo-Addo might be under a “juju” spell because the country is heading to a wrong direction but the President is not able to detect it.
He said some ministers are to be reshuffled but instead of the President to reshuffle his team, he( Akuffo-Addo) is still keeping and protecting them. When asked about the economy, Mr Jonathan Asante Okyere stated that the economy is in taters and it is as a result of the government overspending during the Covid era. He said the monies the NPP government spent just to convince Ghanaians to vote for them again is the reason the country is in an “economic mess” at the moment.
