Female highlife and afrobeat artist Francisca Gawugah known well known as Sista Afia disclosed that she nearly quit her music career before she released her hit song “Asuoden”.
Sista Afia disclosed that she had thoughts of ending her music career but she considered her fans who love her music and wouldn’t want to let them down.

“I wanted to quit music before I released Asuoden. I am even still considering that thought. The thing is I always continue to push forwards because of the fans. They are the ones that love my music and I don’t want to let them down just because I feel some way about the music industry.”
The ‘Jeje’ crooner in an interview with Andy Dosty said that she feels the music industry has blacklisted her although she is good at what she does. She added that she feels her efforts are not being appreciated hence the thoughts of quitting music.

“I feel I have been blacklisted by the industry. Not only because of the fact i don’t get awarded for my works but there are a lot of reasons I felt that way”.
“There are a lot of things that I could say but it’s not necessary. I don’t want to be blacklisted more,” she said.
