Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana international defender Gideon Baah leads FC Motown to win NPSL title

Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana international defender Gideon Baah has won his first trophy as player/coach with FC Motown in the United States.

Baah, has guided his side to victory in the 2022 National Premier Soccer League competition after overcoming Crossfire Redmond in a keenly contested affair.

Baah and his charges, won the final 4-3 to cap a successful campaign for the former Black Stars player who joined the club in March this year.

This will be good news to Baah as he begins his path towards becoming a football coach as he plans to retire from the pitch soon.

He has taken to his social media channels in acknowledging the success chalked and to thank his team for the role they played in winning the diadem.

“We did it. Special thanks to Motown FC for giving me these amazing group of players to work with, it’s been an honour”, he wrote.

Baah added: “Our efforts, hard work and dedication paid off and it was evident for all to see.”

The former Porcupine will look to build on this performance as he seeks to become a certified manager in football with an eye for greater heights.

He has made known his intension of coaching Asante Kotoko in the future and, this could be the springboard for him to achieve this dream.
