Reigning Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko have officially commenced preseason in the nations capital, Accra. The porcupine warriors wee led by youth team coach Abdulai Gazali. The club has shared pictures of the preseason activities ongoing in Accra.
In the pictures, caretaker coach Abdulai Gazali was captured issuing instructions to the players. Another picture showed players undergoing some muscle activities as they sit on the turf.
Already, Asante Kotoko announced few days ago that they will be starting preseason in Accra on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, and that has been fulfilled.
Asante Kotoko will be traveling to Turkey to continue their preseason activities. They will be playing couple of matches in Turkey before they depart to Ghana.
The Kumasi-based club has scheduled Sunday, August 14, 2022 as the day they club will leave the territories of Ghana for Turkey.
Reports have emerged about plans to unveil a new coach in Turkey. Before his arrival, Abdulai Gazali is boss in charge and will steer affairs till the new head coach is signed and introduced to the playing body.
Several coaches have been linked with Asante Kotoko but former Burkina Faso coach Kamou Malo is the leading contender to replace Prosper Ogum as the head coach.
