Col Kwadwo Damoah, the commissioner for customs division has been trending for sometime now after making some intriguing and interesting comments on allegations that seek to clear the air, expose people on the corruption and illegalities which is making the country lag behind and is crippling this government.
The custom office is ranked as one of the most corrupted offices in the country after a survey which was tallied and published a few days ago revealed that the Ghana police topped the chart.
Bribery and corruption is thriving well in this country than actual businesses and why should this happen? The special prosecutor who has been assigned to prosecute offenders of the law is being intimidated by these top government officials and it is time to put an end to these things.
It is not okay to disrespect the elderly. But should the elderly be feared and respected at the cost of the country’s development? When a person is in power or in a higher office, he or she is required to perform tasks that will hinder people he or she see as children or ‘small boys’ to comment on.
And this is something that Mr. Damoah seems to have failed at.During an official press in which he explained that the allegations from the special prosecutor against him are false, he stated that the special prosecutor is a small boy.
According to him, the special prosecutor decided to publish some uncertified and a not-carefully investigated facts about him which was purported to tarnish his image and dent his reputation. But according to him, this will never hold.
He stated that he is older than the special prosecutor and has lived a good life and that he, the special prosecutor is a ‘small boy’ and should not try to do that to him. Does being a ‘small boy’ like he claims prevent him from performing his task? This comment from the custom boss is not resonating well. Do you think age should be considered over a person’s criminalities or illegalities?
