Two suspects have been apprehended by the Ghana Police Service concerning the robbery and murder of a final-year student at Tweneboah Kodua Senior High School in the Ashanti Region.
After robbing the victim, Osei Mensah Daniel, Eric Anning and a child reportedly murdered him and buried him in a cocoa field.
The Director of the Police Public Affairs Department, Chief Superintendent Grace Ansah-Akrofi, released a statement saying that suspect Eric Anning was transported to the hospital for treatment of a severe cut on his right hand.
According to investigators, the victim was assaulted at Benebene, a village close to Fianko in the Ashanti Region, where he ran a motorbike company during the school break.

Attackers allegedly stabbed the victim many times in the lower abdomen and chest before finishing him off with a club.
The tragic event of Friday, August 5, 2022, has left the whole city reeling.

The police statement said, “Meanwhile, the defendant and his young accomplice will be taken before court today, August 9, 2022).
The father of the deceased, Kwame Boame who has still not come to terms with his son’s death, has been left upset by the tragedy.
“As I have no control over the situation, I have decided to give it all over to God. I will appeal that the laws of the country deal with the suspects, and they should also be given the same punishment they did to my late son”, he remarked as tears filled up in his eyes.
The assembly member representing the region called for a coordinated effort to curb crime in the neighbourhood.
He also urged on the Government and the Inspector General of Police to accelerate efforts to make a police station in the region operational.
Some kids in the vicinity were upset at the occurrence.
