The NPP government may not be doing the best but should that elicit calls for government appointees to be reshuffled? Why should Ghanaians be on the neck of the President to Change Ken Ofori Atta and Amoako Atta? Should that be the way to go?
Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta is a Ghanaian investment banker who serves as the Minister for Finance and Economic Planning in the cabinet of Nana Akufo-Addo. He was a co-founder of Databank Group, a Ghanaian financial services .
Kenneth served as executive chairman until 2012 when he resigned. Hon. Ofori-Atta was the first African to be honored as a Donaldson Fellow at Yale University in 2010, a John Jay Fellow at Columbia University in 2011, and also a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute. He is a Co-Founder of the Aspen African Leadership Initiative.

He went to Achimota School in Accra, Ghana; received a BA in Economics from Columbia University in New York and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. He is married with four children. President Nana Addo has always believed that Kenneth Ofori Atta is an asset to the country due to his over 30 years of relevant experience and admirable knowledge of economics or finance.
On the other hand, Kwasi Amoako-Attah is a Ghanaian lawyer, management consultant, and politician. He is the Member of Parliament of the Atiwa West constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party and, as of 2017. He is currently Ghana’s Minister for Roads and Highways. He has been an MP since 2010 and he has been instrumental in ensuring that the roads in the country are properly and adequately constructed. He attended the University of Ghana, Abuakwa State College, and Tarkwa Senior High School.
TV3’s trending post on injured Ken Ofori Atta and colleague has trickled various leakages of reasons why Nana Addo has refused to reshuffle.
These reasons are coming at a time when Nana Addo has personally indicated that he has no immediate plans of reshuffling his appointees.
Whilst he has been advised by many Ghanaians to heed the call to closely evaluate the productivity levels of Ken Ofori Atta And Amoako Atta, it does not seem that any good thing would come from these rants.
Some concerned citizens have hailed the decision of the first gentleman of the land and have told him that he has already exhausted all alternatives. Does this mean that there are no substitutes for the current appointees? Are there no more qualified or competent persons to manage such capacities? What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion?
