While the current government often times prides itself in the works it has done in the various regions of Ghana, ever since it assumed office, the realities on the ground continue to prove otherwise. Hilariously, when it tries to make the economy look good, on the face of Ghanaians, reliable international economic rating organisations never cease to expose its mess.Â
Probably, your community may be experiencing what we are about to share today, in this very article, therefore, I urge everyone to interact with the author and share their concerns, in the comment session of the platform, after reading it.Â
What is so baffling is that, you and I clearly know that, per the global economic indicators, highlighted by top International Expert Organisations, our economy is on the verge of collapse; yet this government continues to cut sod for the commissioning of capital projects. Funnily, most of these projects even die on their arrival. Could you believe that, in this era of technological advancement and enlightenment, some communities in Ghana do not have access to clean energy (electricity) and portable drinking water? Well, some may even shout louder than I’m echoing but I did not expect this to stem from the Ashanti Region (a region where the current government gets most of his votes from).Â
It will surprise you that as we are speaking now, some hospitals in Sekyere Central in the Ashanti Region of Ghana still use torch lights to assist in the delivery of women in labour. This was confirmed by Angel TV on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.Â
Similarly, about 68 communities in the municipality do not have access to clean and portable water, making life extremely difficult for the inhabitants and industries.Â
The DCE of the area is therefore appealing to the government to come to their aid immediately to save them from this disturbing situation.
