Accra Hearts of Oak are bent on making an impact in next season’s Ghana Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Phobians went past all the other seventeen clubs to claim the treble last two seasons even ahead of bitter rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Hearts of Oak won the Ghana Premier League after coming strongly from behind under the watchful eyes of coach Samuel Boadu.
The Phobians also made sure they won the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup after beating now demoted AshantiGold by 8-7 on penalty shootouts at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Last season however turned out that they lost out on the league title to rivals, Asante Kotoko.
They however managed to claimed the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup which has taken them back to the CAF Confederation Cup where they performed poorly last season.
They strengthened their squad in the past few days with Cameroonian striker, Junior Kaaba as well as Yakubu Zakari and goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi.
The latest player to extend his contract is central defender, James Sewornu and the club’s statement after the contract renewal read: “Very glad to announce that James Serwornu has extended his contract with us.” The club’s short statement on Facebook read.
