Ghanaian Boxer, Joseph Commey Could Have Won A Gold Medal Today, But This Issue Deprived Him Of It

One of Ghana’s best fighters in the ongoing Commonwealth Games at Birmingham, United Kingdom, has been ruled out from the 57kg featherweight final.

Popular Ghanaian boxer, Joseph Commey had the chance to win gold for Ghana but the current news reveals that, he cannot not fight in the final today.

He was supposed to fight with Jude Gallagher of Northern Ireland in the final but according to the head of delegations at the Commonwealth Games, the young Ghanaian boxer cannot fight because he is medically unfit to fight today.

Joseph Commey qualified to the final after defeating india’s Husammudin Mohammed 4-1 in the semifinals.

Today’s final could have been his five wins in the 57kg featherweight. He has already won four fights but the final one could not happen because he has declared medically unfit to fight.
