The beauty of Islam is how thousands gather at a mosque and offer prayers for hours irrespective of the status or positions held by the believer. There is no racism and the social standings of individuals are not given much prominence when it’s time for worship. The poor and rich, young and old stand side by side to observe prayers in a sober mood.
Doumbouya continues to win the heart of the masses and as a Muslim has made it a routine to offer prayers with them on Fridays, and pray for his country Guinea. He has visited several mosques in recent months and interacted with the clergy and those who share the same faith with him.
Mosques are essential established for the worship of the Supreme being and there are numerous in Guinea since it is a Muslim-dominated country. Entering a mosque is like entering into paradise which makes the believer return to his maker. It should be a place that unites people’s hearts.
The interim President of the transition wants to get closer to the people and this is one of the benefits of praying together popularly known as ‘Jumah.’ When people line up to pray together it gets rid of the distance between them and brings about togetherness. May the prayers of the leader be accepted by God.
