Your body language is not typical of a public servant – Ursula told

The Minister of Communication and digitalization, Ursula Owusu Ekuful is being informed that her body language is not typical of a public servant.

According to the Political Science Lecturer, Professor Ransford Gyampo, they way Madam Ursula Owusu portrayed herself and spoke to journalists and Ghanaians during her press conference on Sunday, July 31st, 2022, when she was extending the deadline for the SIM card registration exercise.

It may be recalled that the Minister for Communication and digitalization said

“Upon consultation with the industry and in view of the challenges enumerated above, I have very reluctantly decided to grant a final conditional extension.

“The programme will be extended to 30th September to end on the anniversary of its commencement.”

With reference to the statement above and the posture with which Madam Ursula Owusu delivered the message, Prof Gyampo says it’s not a public servant’s attitude.

In his Facebook post, he condemned this and therefore stated that “The body language of the minister in extending the deadline for the sim re-registration isn’t typical of a public servant.”

Prof also took the opportunity to remind her, may be she may have forgotten that she is serving Ghanaians and we pay her for the service she renders to us and must therefore treat us as such.

“May I respectfully remind her that she’s our servant; we pay her; she doesn’t pay us.”
