Refrain from using your offices or publicly any aspirant – NPP Executives told

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), has released a statement to all it’s members especially the executives, to refrain from using their office or openly declare their support for any of the aspirants for either parliamentary or presidential positions.

According to the statement, signed by the General Secretary, lawyer Justine Frimpong Kodua, the party would want to give every aspirant the equal opportunity in either the presidential or parliamentary position.

The statement also noted that, the party with regard to their Code of Conduct given by their National Council would want to promote a healthy intra-party elections.

Futhermore, all prospective aspirants are not to mount bill boards or start any campaign activities until the party opens the normination for the presidential and parliamentary primaries.

The party would want everyone to be guided by the party’s Code of Conduct.

Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua, the General Secretary concluded that there will be sanctions for anyone who will not comply with these directives.

According to him, these sanctions are to avert the menace of internal party wrangling, and factionalism and also to avoid the repetition of electoral misfortune of the party’s tradidition in 1979 and 2008 elections which were linked to party officials openly leading campaign of aspirants.

National Officers have been urged to ensure that this directive in addition to the Code of Conduct is enforced and obeyed to the latter.
