The former deputy general secretary for the New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahene has dropped some revelations about Ghana’s Big Six.
Speaking on Okay FM this morning, Nana Obiri Boahene revealed that the Big Six which include; Edward Akuffo Addo, Dr. Ako- Adjei, William Ofori Atta, J.B Danquah, Kwame Nkrumah and Obestsebi-Lamptey did great when it comes to Ghana’s independence.
He however made it clear that Dr. Paa Grant should have been added to the list to make it the Big Seven. According to him, Dr. Paa Grant did great towards Ghana’s independence. He however made it clear that it will be hard for the name to be changed from Big 6 to Big 7 but he wish it is changed to the Big Seven.

Nana Obiri Boahene is not the only Ghanaian who has made a statement like this. Several historians believe that Dr. Paa Grant should have been on the list. Others believe that the big six should have included Paa Grant and should have excluded Kwame Nkrumah who was not even present at the founding meeting of the UGCC.
