Newly promoted Ghana Premier League, GPL side FC Samartex will soon name Annor Walker as their new helmsman ahead of the new season.
The Timber Giants have given a hint of his arrival on their media channels ahead of the official announcement of their new coach.
Coach Walker, was until recently the coach of fellow top-flight side Accra Great Olympics but, his contract with the Wonder Club has ended, paving the way for him to look elsewhere.
The experienced gaffer, is also the coach of Ghana’s locally based national team, the Black Galaxies who are preparing to face Nigeria in a final playoff for the CHAN tournament next year.
FC Samartex are looking to put together a strong technical team to guide them in the GPL in their debut campaign and, they have identified Coach Walker as the man to lead that charge.
He guided Great Olympics to finish fifth in the GPL last season after being in the top-four for majority of the campaign.
The 2022/23 Ghana football season will begin in September this year with 18 clubs set to participate in what promises to be a tough campaign.
