MCE Backs Youth To Demonstrate Over Bad Roads

Reliable and dependable road infrastructure helps to facilitate the free movement of goods and people, creates employment, supports economic growth, enhances access to education and healthcare services, and connects people to families and places of entertainment.

It also aids in the fight against poverty.

In Ghana, road transport is one of the major keys that enhance economic potential. It is estimated that road transport alone accounts for 96 per cent of passenger and freight traffic and about 97 per cent of passenger miles in the country.

However, the case in Wassa Amenfi East is not the same in Samreboi.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi West, Hon. Lord Nana Tandoh Backs Samreboi Youth Demonstration over deplorable roads. 

The MCE in a recent interview on Asankragwa based radio station, Ahobraseye 98.5 fm with the host, Kaakyire, Hon. Lord Nana Tandoh was asked his reactions to the attempt made by Samreboi Youth Demonstration on 5th August 2022.

The MCE, Hon. Lord Nana Tandoh answered and said: Samreboi Youth Association have their right to organize a peaceful demonstration, and we are willing to receive their petition, he said. 

Hon. Lord Nana Tandoh speaking on numerous issues also assured Bawdie to Asankragwa road users that measures have been put in place to solve our road issues, he conclusively said.
