On the 26th of July, 2022, Kumasi Asante Kotoko unveiled their 2022/2023 home and away kits or jerseys to their fans and Ghanaians. Several football fans, analysts and officials in Ghana talked against it because of a particular image added into it.
Just this afternoon, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have revealed that, they have made changes in the 2022/2023 kits. With the previous jersey, all the home and away jerseys or kits had a picture of the Asantehene on it. The picture of Otumfour Osei Tutu II was on the kits and that made some Ghanaian football Officials to oppose the decision because it goes against some CAF rules. The picture of the Asantehene has now been taken away from the jerseys.
