Earlier today President Akufo-Addo commissioned the Phase 1 of the Sunyani Airport Rehabilitation Project. The work done in the area includes the extension of the runway from 1,280 meters to 1,400 meters, repair of the apron to accommodate small to medium aircrafts and the construction of the airport internal roads. This commissioning started a challenge as some began to rate the airport.
Later the rating turned to a comparison between airports built by former president John Mahama and this new airport. Dzifa Gunu, an NDC activist has compared the Ho airport by John Mahama to the Sunyani airport rehabilitation by Akufo-Addo. Interestingly the Sunyani Airport rehabilitation started in 2015.
According to Dzifa Gunu, John Mahama has taste when it comes to infrastructure. In a series of comments, Ghanaians reacted and expressed their opinion on the two airports. Apparently because Dzifa is an NDC most of the comments went in favor of JM who many believe is a better man when it comes to infrastructure. Check out some of the comments.
