After the signing of Jules Kounde from Sevilla, Barcelona have now set a deadline for Manchester United’s target, Frankie De Jong.
According to reports, Barcelona is preparing to register their squad for the new season on August 13th and therefore need to be sure about the saga around the Dutch midfielder.
The former Ajax player has been linked with a move away from the Catalan club but has however rejected the idea of joining Manchester United even though he respects the club and has interest in reuniting with his former manager Erik Ten Hag.
Manchester United are believed to have agreed a 70million Euros deal with Barcelona for the player but complications around the deal is what is currently stalling the move.
Barcelona’s president confirmed that the club is currently working to have everything resolved by the August 13 deadline. He said “We are doing everything possible to register the signings. We have to do it before August 13.”
