The Ministry of Trade and Industry under his leadership championed the development and launching of the National African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Framework and Action Policy in Accra.Â
The plan outlines the short to medium-term implementation priorities and strategies for the Ghanaian private sector to harness the full benefits of the AfCFTA.
Ghana is uniquely positioned, as host of the AfCFTA, to become the new commercial capital of Africa with a vision to transform Ghana into a modern, industrialized country that will become the new manufacturing hub of the continent.Â
He was fascinated by this feat and the Government’s determination to make the most of the AfCFTA agreement, by leveraging the trade and investment opportunities that the AfCFTA presents, and accelerating the development and growth of the national economy.
