
The Reggae/Dancehall icon, Alapta Wan of the Savana Records reveals that Cynthia Morgan is her role model in the music fraternity.
Alapta Wan is one of the incontrovertible Reggae/Dancehall titans in the Upper East Industry.
The Bossu hitmaker hails from the Upper East Region of Ghana, Navrongo to be detailed, she was crowned the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year at the just ended Happy Man Bitters – Upper East Awards.
On a live interview with her, she was interrogated to whether if she is still targeting the Upper East, working to touch the souls of the Region but surprisingly, she nodded her head negatively to the question with the candid answer that, the people of the Upper East Region have already seen what she is capable of doing, hence, she is now targeting the world as a whole. ” The people of Upper East have seen what I can do so we are now targeting the world,” she explained.
She was further questioned by the hosts (My Bolga Online) as to who inspires her in her music career (Role Model) and she answered that her Role Model is Cynthia Morgan
Cynthia Ikponmwenosa Morgan (born 23 September 1991), popularly known by her previous stage name Cynthia Morgan, now Madrina, is a Nigerian born songwriter and singer. Her music is a fusion of pop, hip hop, dancehall and rap. She shot into the limelight following the release of two singles titled “Don’t Break My Heart” and “Lead Me On”, which received massive airplay and positive reviews from critics.
She had issues with her management some months ago which led to her depression and suddenly stopped from music.
