Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are getting prepare for 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season. While Asante Kotoko intend to defend their crown, Accra Hearts of Oak have a sole motive of claiming the silverware back, having won it 2020/21 season and Asante Kotoko toppling the Phobians at the wrap of 2021/22 season.
To be able to achieve the set targets of the two most glamorous clubs, transfer business are being conducted. Asante Kotoko are reinvigorating their attack as Accra Hearts of Oak are reinforcing their defense.
Asante Kotoko have brought on board Ugandan international Steven Mukwala and Accra Hearts of Oak have gone for goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi and defender Zakari Yakubu. Asante Kotoko attack is definitely set for Accra Hearts of Oak defense.
Asante Kotoko will be heading into the new season with Frank Etouga – George Mfegue – Steven Mukwala. Accra Hearts of Oak will have a tight back four made up of Eric Ofori Antwi/ Richard Atta – Samuel Inkoom – Dennis Korsah – Mohammed Alhassan – Konadu Yiadom.
These player will come into face to face as one will be aiming at a goal whereas the other looks at preventing goals. It looks promising for next season as the two teams will be coming up in league matches and probably FA Cup. But they have a score to settle in Super Cup game.
