Veteran actor and one of the stars of the defunct Akan Drama series, Prince Yawson- known widely as Waakye has been confirmed dead.
The actor has been in and out of the hospital in recent times and died in the early hours of Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
He reportedly died of stroke although official reports to this effect have not been communicated to the media.

The actor reportedly graduated from a Bible school in December 2021, months after he battled for his life in a hospital.
Recall that the Fante-speaking actor who made a name for himself in the local serial productions dubbed Akan Drama battled with stroke for seven years which drained him of all his finances.

His career also took a nosedive at the time he was breathing a new life into his ailing career with the hit TV series, Chorkor Trotro.
Recall that a new photo which popped up in August 2020 captures Waakye with a nasal oxygen catheter with electric stimulators on his chest as he lay on the bed in an unidentified hospital.
