It is possible to end the stress and chaos – Okudzeto Ablakwa

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said that it is possible to end the stress and chaos.

There has been a lot of stress and chaos these few days at the NIA offices and the offices of the Telcos as most Ghanaians have to rush and either get their Ghana cards or register their SIM cards respectively.

However, Mr Ablakwa says these stress and chaos will end because of the extension.

According to him, government has done well for listening to the many calls of Ghanaians by extending the deadline for the registration of our SIM cards with the Ghana card.

“I commend government for extending the deadline for the SIM card re-registration exercise.”

To him, this extension affords the National Identification Authority (NIA) time to issue outstanding Ghana cards to those who have not received their cards, and also gives timefor the Ministry of Communication and digitalization to look again at their restrictions with the ID preference.

“It’s now time to immediately fix the avoidable bottlenecks with Ghana Card issuance and the needless ID rigidity.”

In a twitter post, the law maker of North Tongu Constituency says the extension will bring to an end the stress and chaos people have to go through in the past week.

“With adequate consultation, it’s possible to end the stress and chaos.”
