Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has deferred his decision on Sarah Adwoa Safo and two other Members of Parliament (MPs) referred to the Privileges Committee for absenteeism.
The Minority and Majority Leaders had been at each otherâs neck on what should happen to the report of the Privileges Committee laid in Parliament.
Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, argued that the report of the Privileges Committee must be final and not subject to any vote from all MPs.
According to the Speaker, he needs time to submit to the House a written ruling as he cannot in a haste give a ruling now.
