The Biggest Puzzle: Finance Minister Tells When Ghana’s Problems Will Be Resolved

Monday was a memorable day in Ghana’s parliament. The finance minister Hon. Ken Ofori Atta was in the house to present the mid-year report for 2022 to the house. In his presentation, the health minister stated that Ghana’s Problems will be resolved in the next two and half years. He said the government had put in place measures to ensure Ghana fully recovers from the impacts of Covid-19 pandemic and the Ukrainian war.

But social media has been dissecting this comment. According to many netizins, the statement of the finance minister is a clear indication that there is no hope in the Nana Addo’s administration. This is because Nana Addo has barely 2 years to leave office.

The owner of Loudsilence TV described it as a puzzle. He said such a puzzle cannot be understood by the ordinary Ghanaians.

“The NPP has two years to govern before they seek re-election.

Your finance minister Ofori Atta says the mess they have led Ghana into can only be solved after 2 and half years.

Do the mathematics, they have just two years but the very problem they caused can only be solved after more than two years.

If you are a Ghanaian and you still believe and trust that Akufo Addo and Bawumia are going to conjure any form of magic to transform your life in their last two years left to exit office then with all due respect, you are cery foolish.

I know many Ghanaians are not used to this sort of journalism where they are spoken to in the harshest plain form as we do here on LSM but hey, I am being honest with you and you know deep down your heart”

In a related development, the finance minister announced an end to NaBCo. He told the house that all trainees are to venture into the yet to be launched YouStart.

Meanwhile experts the North Tongu legislator Hon. Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa believes the YouStart program is dead on arrival.
