Planning for higher education abroad? Choose to Study in India

Ghana, 27th July 2022: India is home to constantly expanding teaching methods and experimenting research with Indian institutes providing global standard learning. It hones the title of having the second-largest higher education system with a consolidated ecosystem of universities and colleges. In an attempt to make Indian higher education accessible to international students the Government of India launched the Study In India Programme in 2018.

Study in India (SII) is a programme under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India to present a platform for students abroad who wish to pursue their dreams of higher education in India. It facilitates a medium to some of the finest colleges and state-of-the-art institutions in the country. 

Many of the Study in India partner institutes have been a foundation to some of the renowned alumni heading several Fortune 500 companies. For instance, Satya Nadella – CEO of Microsoft, Sundar Pichai – CEO of Google, and Ajaypal Singh Banga – President and CEO of MasterCard. 

The programme presents the students with learning opportunities that make them ready to thrive in the real world and explore their own journeys within and beyond academics. More than 42,000 international students from 100+ countries have set sail on their dream journey with the Study in India programme. 

To facilitate affordable education, Study in India offers scholarships to meritorious students in addition to fee waivers giving opportunities to students from all walks of life. To avail the SII Scholarship, students need to perform well in the PRAGATII Exam. PRAGATII stands for Performance Rating of Applicants through Global Aptitude Test for Indian Institutes. It is a standardized online exam to evaluate the students’ aptitude and capability. It is held at two levels, for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. PRAGATII 2022 will be conducted in Online proctored mode. Candidates will have the ease of taking the exam from the comfort of their own homes on an internet-based platform at a designated time. 

This year, PRAGATII Exam is scheduled to take place on 31st July 2022. In order to familiarize the students with the exam environment mock tests are conducted before the main exam. The format of the question paper is Objective type with Multiple Choice Questions to be solved within N90 minutes. The medium of the question paper is in English with 90 questions of 1 mark each. Also, there is no negative marking for wrong answers or unanswered questions. 

The format of the online exam will be as follows: 40 questions of Verbal Reasoning, 25 questions of Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning each. The Verbal Reasoning section consists of questions from language with reading comprehension, sentence structure, phrases, and more. The Quantitative Aptitude section has questions of Algebra, Geometry, Ratios, Proportions, etc. The Logical Reasoning section assesses problem-solving skills with questions based on Sequencing, Venn Diagrams, and Puzzles, etc.

The Study in India teams provides constant support to the students planning to appear for PRAGATII exam. The team regularly conducts weekly Webinars to address student queries, provides sample papers and facilitates one-on-one conversation through Whatsapp and official social media handles.
