Politicians are very cunning especially those found here in Africa and these individuals use some form of tactics to either deceive or promise credulous masses. However, deep down they know these pledges are just to win votes. Observing them closely will reveal their vulnerabilities and know how to relate to them.
This is exactly what Captain Smart was talking about this morning when he mentioned certain policies which were championed by politicians from the successive governments but failed to implement. He revealed how to identify a leader who is ‘lying’ and yet still does so to get the attention of his audience.
Per his assertions, he has known politicians for a very long time and can tell clearly when Nana Akuffo the president is being ‘untruthful.’ He demonstrated that anytime he raises his left arm when talking, he is telling ‘lies.’
Some policies according to the journalists, like ‘1 District 1 Factory,’ and the building of the cathedral are not realistic because the body language of the President conveyed a different message.
He continued by saying Professor Mills stretched his neck and that indicated he was not being truthful when he promised a one-time health premium. Chairman Rawlings was clever but his eyes always showed when he was telling an untruth.
