The deputy roads and highway minister, Stephen Jalulah during an interview with Metro TV’s Annie revealed that nobody in their ministry said that they were going to convert toll booths to washrooms. The presenter was surprised because somewhere in early 2022 after the collection of road tolls was abolished by the Akufo-Addo government, the sector minister, Amoako Atta revealed that they will convert the toll booths to washrooms. This he said will help travelers who are going long distances.
Meanwhile, Stephen Jalulah revealed that “ My sister, nobody said we are going to convert the toll booths to washrooms. What my boss did say was that, we could turn some of the toll booths into rest stops for some of the travelers who go on long distances. So that cars could park there and passengers will get some rest and stretch themselves. They were and are not to be converted to washrooms, urinals, whatever.”
