Us based Ghanaian journalist Kevin Taylor has said that the Akan will prefer to suffer to death than blame Akufo Addo for his woes.
Reacting to a video of Onua TV’s People’s Assembly where a man who was a former employee of Kwesi Nduom’s GN Savings was down completely with tears and listening to his account of how he abandoned his children in the Ashanti region due to hardship, Kevin Taylor said he so deserve that suffering because he is not ready for relief.
According to Kevin Taylor, in the man’s summary of telling Ghanaians his plights, he did something that eroded the sympathy anyone else could have for him by trying to exonerate Akufo Addo of his involvement in the collapse of GN and other banks.
“This has been the problem of many of my Akan tribesmen. They are hypocrites and would never have the courage of facing squarely their problems even when they truly know the source of the problem. They know the truth but will always shy away from it”
Kevin Taylor said after crying on National Television, the man quickly curved by trying to whitewash Akufo Addo of his sins.
“If He believes Akufo Addo knows nothing about the collapse of the bank, why is he disturbing everyone with his tears and problems?” He queried
“The dishonesty on part of my Akan people even when they are suffering at the point of death makes it difficult for any genuine person who would love to help them” he added.
