The economy of Ghana as at now is something once can not boldly defend or neither reckon on for it has totally increased the standard of living for the ordinary Ghanaian. This is as a result of the skyrocketing prices of goods and services for which that of petroleum is the master cause. Traders and other service providers have increased the prices of their goods as the prices of petroleum increases as a result of the gradually failing economy.
The finance minister who is responsible in managing the economy in relation with finances has revived many criticisms from all angles as Ghanaians claim he has failed in his line of work. Not only that to say, he has made himself a tool for corruption as he delivered the Covid-19 expenses breakdown which left many Ghanaians mouth opened. This called and pushed for the need of the Finance Minister to resign and the President also to make a bold decision but still nothing has been effected.
In a news sighted on Citi News via their official twitter page is a viral video captured in parliament amidst the mid year budget review delivered by the Finance Minister today. The minority group were seen and heard chanting boldly that the sector minister should resign as some of them gave out rhythms to make the chant more interesting.
During the New Patriotic Party’s delegate conference and party executives elections, Ken Ofori Atta made t clear to Ghanaians that he is not ready to resign for it depicts the neglect of kids by their father.
The atmosphere in parliament created by the minority has left many reacting all over. Find below some of the reactions I gathered:
What is your opinion about the push made by the minority? Is it even relevant in the first place for the president himself has not done anything to tackle the grievances of Ghanaians? Let your opinion be heard in the comments section below. Do not be left out.
