Asante Kotoko board member Kofi Amoa-Abban wants head coach of the club Prosper Ogum fired as soon as possible. Expressing his view on his official social media page, Kofi Amoa-Abban believes success chalked by the club last season is manifestation of proper structures laid by the management led by Nana Yaw Amponsah. He added that no individual is bigger than Asante Kotoko.
“Asante Kotoko is under the stewardship of a great Management Team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah. The success on and off the pitch last season is a testament to this Fact. THE COACH SHOULD BE FIRED. No one is bigger than the Club. Asante Kotoko remains Supreme.” Wrote Kofi Amoa-Abban on his official Twitter page.
Whiles a board member is calling for the sack of Prosper Ogum, board secretary of Asante Kotoko Kwamina Mensah Esq. has rebuffed those reports in a press release on last Friday.
A meeting is scheduled for tomorrow where club officials will meet head coach Prosper Ogum and discuss the way forward. Reports have hinted of efforts being made by the board chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei to let calm prevail for the Prosper Ogum to continue his mandate as head of the technical department.
