“It is shameful and totally unprofessional” – Kojo Oppong Nkrumah fires as he defends Nana Addo

The communication minister of the new patriotic party, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has thrown a shot-up lawyer Martin Kpebu to defend his boss Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to the Minister of Communication, the comments by the legal practitioner, Mr Martin Kpebu is very unfortunate describing it as “shameful and totally unprofessional.”

It will be recalled that lawyer Martin Kpebu in an interview on Joynews indicated that, the silence of the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo, over various corruption issues going on at the Jubilee House makes him part of the criminal syndicates. He emphasized that if the President having heard it then it must be forcibly echoed until it gets to him.

The comments however, did not go well with the minister of communication reacting quickly to eat through his Twitter page.

Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said “it is shameful and totally unprofessional to hear lawyer Kpebu without any factual basis, accuse the President of the Republic of being a member of a criminal syndicate. Even more worrying is the fact that a media house which is to be respected.”

Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah who expressed displeasure at the media house that did the interview noted that “airs such and happily reproduces it on websites and social media in a bid to achieve clicks and revenues on the backdrop of unfounded insults at its national leaders. We all uphold freedoms of speech and association but let’s be responsible in how we do this.”
