Ghana’s team finished behind the United States of America and United Kingdom.
The team which consists of Sean Safo-Antwi, Benjamin Azamati, Emmanuel Oduro-Manu and Joseph Paul Amoah will however be hoping to improve their time in Saturday’s final.
These are some of their comments during post-race interviews,
“We thank the coaches and team mates for the hard work we all put together to reach the final. We have to work extra hard to make our mark in the finals. We know Ghanaians were not happy about our 100 and 200 race and we as a team focused our energy into the 4 x 100 and now, we have qualified into the final.”
Benjamin Azamati added that they felt disappointed especially when things didn’t go well in the 100 and 200 race but we wanted to prove ourselves and we have done it.
Joseph Paul Amoah also added that they channelled their energy into this race and they have qualified for the final. They will come back tomorrow and focus for a medal slot.
Sean Safo Antwi who started the race added that his plan was to get the team in a good place, get a good start and get my team going.
