Accra Hearts of Oak will return to the CAF Confederation Cup after winning the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup ahead of Bechem United.
The Phobians were not at their best last season despite claiming the MTN FA Cup where they had to come from behind to beat Bechem United by 2-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Accra Hearts of Oak were a toast of their fans Ghanaians as a whole because they went all out to claim a treble.
They were on hand to have won the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League and went ahead to claim the FA Cup to complete a double.
The double ensured that they claimed an automatic Super Cup which saw them play in Africa.
Their Africa campaign was nothing to write home about after the edited both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
Last season they claimed the FA Cup and would return to the CAF Confederation Cup and they need experienced players to help their course next season.
One of their players is former Black Stars midfielder, Sulley Muntari who joined them last season and helped them win the FA Cup and the President’s Cup.
The former Inter Milan midfielder has decided to stay with the Phobians for another season so he could play in the CAF Confederation Cup.
