The management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has broke silence on the second term vacation date for all basic schools in the country for the 2022 academic year.
According to the management of GES, the vacation date for the second term remains 11th August, 2022 as communicated earlier in March, 2022. On Thursday, 21st July 2022, GES wrote on its official Facebook page;
“The basic schools calendar released in March this year remains the same”,
The release or comments of Ghana Education Service comes as a background to the purpoted two weeks or one week added to the vacation date due to the COLA strike by teachers.
Per this vital notice from the management, all parents and teachers are urged to disregard any falsehood information suggesting that the GES is set to add additional one week due to the just ended nationwide teachers strike.
The vacation date remains the same, hence no additional weeks will be added to change this year’s calendar despite the strike action.
