President Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party is poised to making Ashanti Region one of the most expensive cities in Ghana. For this reason, the New Patriotic Party started constructing the Suame Interchange.
Many Ghanaians have asked so many questions relating to the interchange and the process involved. In answering so many of these questions, lawmaker, Hon Kennedy Nyarko Osei has revealed that the interchange is going to have two different phases.
Phase 1Â
Comprises of a 4 tier interchange with ancillary works. It’s estimated to cost €140 million. This is the total cost for the commercial agreement. It does not include the financing cost.
Phase 2
Comprises of the construction of approaches roads and inner roads within the magazine and Suame. It’s also estimated to cost $47 million. The Phase 2 is going to be financed from the $750 million syndicated facility.
He further encouraged Ghanaians and expecially people of Ashanti Region to hold their peace as Akufo Addo work around the clock to complete the interchange.
