Ghanaian Player Reveals What Her Mother Did When He Got a Deal to Play In Iraq

Former Ghanaian local Black Stars’ player, Shafiu Mumuni has revealed to Ghanaians how his mother reacted when he told her that a club in Iraq has offered him a deal to sign him.

The former Ashanti Gold forward, who claims he is currently having a time in Iraq told Ghanaians and the host on Angel TV, Saddick Adams that, his mother got disturb when she revealed to her that he has gotten a deal to play in Iraqi top flight league.

Shafiu Mumuni who currently plays in Iraq for Iraqi side Al-Kahrbaa Club, told Saddick Adams that, his mother’s reaction to his deal to play in Iraq made her mother to say, she doesn’t think that she will see her son alive again.

On Angel TV he said, “When I told my mum I had a deal to play in Iraq, she got disturbed. She told me she doesn’t think she will see me alive again.”

He later on explained the reason behind her mother’s fear of losing him. Mumuni explained that her mom might have heard a lot about the war that happened in Iraq and how scary it was, so she got disturbed.

“I think she heard a lot about the war but Iraq is not scary as we hear in the news. I’ve enjoyed tnegatihe few years of my stay,” Shafiu Mumuni revealed.
