GES Has Promoted 10,333 Junior Staff in July 2022 – GNAT Secretary

Secretary for Ghana National Association of Teacher, Mr. Thomas Musah has Explained that Teachers within Low Ranks of Ghana Education Service have been promoted and their salaries processed.

He noted that 10,333 have had theirs process in the month of July whilst others totalling 17,570 will have theirs processed in August 2022.

This is after the Deputy Director General of Ghana Education Service, Mr. Anthony Boateng had assured several teachers that I’ve 39,000 names were being processed for Upgrading and Promotion to various ranks. He gave reasons why the process delayed Including Errors and attempts by some staff to take advantage of the system, he added that others had also applied to ranks they already found themselves.

Several Stakeholders have blamed The Director General of Education for the Decision of Some teachers to leave the service, promotions have always delayed Including upgrading to higher ranks, some methodologies being used by the service Include the date of birth of some staff, if one old or has aged, you easily win favor in the service, you easily get promoted compared to your hardworking staff.

The Next batch shall he promoted according to Mr. Thomas Musah, meanwhile dates on promotion letters are being Changed to avoid paying arrears if one qualifies and gets promotion, the service will change the promotion date to suit them by moving it forward to the date the input was processed in order not to pay arrears.
