Another Big Win In Ghana’s Oil & Gas Industry as 2 Trillion Cubic Feet of Gas Discovered.

The Oil ands Gas sector is a major contributor to Ghana’s economy, The sector’s total receipt of US$666.39 million in 2020 contributed seven per cent of total government (domestic) revenue for that year alone.

This shows how important this sector is to Ghana, currently another 2 Trillion Cubic Feet of Gas have been discovered and when effectively and successfully explored will add add another boost to Ghana’s economy in terms of revenue generation and development in the country. Tullow Oil, a leading independent Oil & Gas, exploration and production group has started studies on how best to develop 2 trillion cubic feet of untapped gas offshore Ghana, with the aim of starting the project in 2023. 

The gas is distributed among the ’s deep – water Jubilee and Tweneboa – Enyenra -Ntomme (TEN) assets, both producing from subsea wells to a pair of floating production, storage and offloading vessels. According to the , it’s in talks with Ghana’s government about “the development of the material resources of circa 2 Tcf of associated and non – associated gas”.
