Former Senior National Female Team Black Queens, Alberta Sackey, believes technical members of national teams should have deeper insights into failures of international tournaments participation.
Sackey, advocates for more research and solutions into proper structural implementations giving total improvement into various national teams that fall short of competitions.
“At least if one is missing, that should be okay but if all of them are missing one way or the other, then we need to sit and look at what is happening”, she cited.
“Is it the coaches, is it the players, is it the logistics?
What is it that’s happening so that they can put things together and start afresh and get somewhere”.
Sackey, expressed her stance for coaches bringing who can only bring the best out of players and downplays familiarity in technical selection of handlers.
“It should be the best person who can handle the situation”.
“It can be a foreigner, it be a home grown coach, it doesn’t really matter”.
“Who is to come in and do the good job? That’s what we looking for.
person is doing well, then we can’t sit down and watch things fall apart all the time. We know the good ones and when they come in, they get the ball rolling”.
Black Queens missed out on WAFCON qualification after one goal from a two goal defeat from zone rivals, Super Falcon of Nigeria.
