What Happened To Osei Kyei Mensah Shows That Bawumia Is In ‘Trouble’ – Johnnie Hughes

Last week Vice President raised eyebrows when he made a rather controversial statement. According to Bawumia, he would prefer to have a Ghana card than 1,000 interchanges. Many Ghanaians felt this was offensive especially looking at the economic hardships that Ghanaians are facing. Thus in a time when people are asking for jobs, better roads etc. Ghanaians didn’t see the benefit of the Ghana card.

Yesterday, MP for Suame received the shock of his life when he was pelted with water by his own constituents. The constituents lamented about the bad state of roads and an interchange in the area. Johnnie Hughes has been reacting to what happened to Osei Kyei Mensah. According to Johnnie, what happened showed that there was no way people see the Ghana card as better than roads or interchanges.

Johnnie mentioned that the people of Suame have Ghana cards and yet they attacked their MP because of bad roads. Johnnie called on Bawumia to be weary since Ghanaians are getting wiser and will not coerce to lies from politicians. He reiterated that Bawumia should be worried about this as it foreshadows what can happen in future elections, especially since the attack was in the stronghold of the ruling NPP.

“They know the vice president will not come to them but they know their member of Parliament will come. This is what happens when you say the Ghana card is better than interchanges. Suame and the Ashanti region is the Volta Region of the NDC. The government needs to sit up. The ghetto will rise again,” Johnnie explained.
