Maurice Ampaw has been in the media since last weekend. The pro NPP lawyer has been talking about the just ended NPP national executives’ elections. He has blasted Kennedy Agyapong for calling Chairman Wontumi names. Wontumi had previously openly showed his support for John Boadu. However, with the surprising loss of John Boadu to Justin Frimpong Koduah, Kennedy Agyapong felt Wontumi went too far by claiming he has the support of 15 regional chairmen to make John Boadu win.
Maurice Ampaw who works with Wontumi has come out to defend Chairman Wontumi. He blasted Kennedy Agyapong for talking loosely and queried if the Assin Central MP feels he owns NPP. After dealing with Kennedy, Maurice turned his attention to John Mahama and said that even John Mahama doesn’t have exclusive rights to the NDC.
Maurice Ampaw explained that NDC belongs to Ghanaians and not for John Mahama and as a Ghanaian he thus has the right to speak about the ills of the party. He called on the NDC to learn from the mistakes of the NPP as they prepare for their district and regional elections. “I am s shareholder in the NDC. I have the right to talk about them. The party is for Ghanaians and not for John Mahama. John Mahama is finished and has nothing more to offer,” Maurice Ampaw said.
According to lawyer Ampaw, if Ghanaians feel John Mahama is the savior to Ghana’s problems then they should forget because the former president has nothing to offer. He rather charged Ghanaians to support and pray for President Akufo-Addo to build a better Ghana.
