NPP General Secretary-Elect has shown his willingness to work with all regional chairmen of the party despite campaigning against him.
As a result, the then-incumbent John Boadu was openly supported by the Ashanti regional chairman, Chairman Wontumi, who reportedly whipped all regional chairs.
The NPP’s General Secretary, John Boadu, was unexpectedly beaten by Justin Kodua.
Modernghana News was able to catch Mr. Frimpong Koduah on Monday, July 18th, 2022, speaking on Accra’s Adom FM on the need for his regional chairmen to join him in the fight for a shared goal.
To be successful as president, “I need them [the regional chairmen] more than they need me.”
He went on to say that he had no right to have ill will against anyone because the mandate he had been given was to unite the party, not to tear it apart.
313 votes separated Justin Kodua from the rest of the field.
While John Boadu received 2,524 votes, he received 2,837 votes.
