Ghanaian star, Gregory Bortey Newman, widely known within the showbiz circles as King Promise is set to deliver his sophomore studio album, ‘5 Star’.
King Promise is a dynamic Ghanaian recording act with a unique approach to making music. He’s signed to Legacy Life Entertainment and known for several songs like ‘CCTV’, ‘Selfish’, ‘Tokyo’ just to mention a few.
Few days ago, the multiple award winning singer and performing artiste who shut down the ‘Oh My! Festival’ in Rotterdam took to his official social media page to announce the completion and release date of his next album.
Captioned ‘5 Star’, the upcoming project is his second studio album after his 2020’s debut ‘As Promised’ which has amassed impressive numbers on streaming platforms. ‘As Promised’ album houses songs like ‘Commando’, ‘Hangover’, ‘My Lady’, among others.

King Promise in a recent post via the bird app disclosed featured artiste on his second studio album. According to him, ‘5 Star’ album features Omah lay, Headie One, WSTRN, Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Patoranking, Frenna and Bisa Kdei.
Announcing the featured acts on the album, he posted; “Big love & Respect to everyone who spent days & nights working on this with me. Blood, Sweat & Tears . This Project here is my story. Nungua boy going global. Ghana to the world 🇬🇭💚 #5StarAlbum #5StarKingPromise”. See post below.
Earlier, King Promise stated that the creation process of his new album was influenced by the various people and cultures he was around in recent times. He added that ‘5 Star’ represents development in both personality and sound from the previous album. ‘5 Star’ album has been scheduled for release on Friday, July 22, 2022 on all music streaming platforms.
