Most Ghanaian journalists are very resourceful, credible and also have their way of getting hidden information that, some Ghanaians and some top politicians will never have. Captain Smart is one of these journalists and has revealed on Onua TV’s Maakye program that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are using a new trick to help them break the ‘8’.
Captain Smart who was talking about the reasons why the former NPP general secretary, John Boadu was defeated by the current NPP general secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, said that the NPP wants the Ghana Card to be used for voting in the 2024 general election.
Blessed Godsbrain Smart used a white board in the studio to give facts and analyse why the NPP thinks that using the Ghana card will help them to break the ‘8’. From his perspective, the New Patriotic Party and the incumbent government will ensure that, a new voters register is done and Ghanaians will only be allowed to register if only they have the Ghana card.
He mentioned that, Ghanaians who are believed to have the Ghana card are 16 millions in number. And he added that, with this number, the strongholds of the National Democratic Congress have the smaller number of people registered.
He revealed that, in central region about 70 percent of the people in NDC’s strongholds were not registered and the same thing applies to the Northern part of Ghana. But in the Eastern Region about 89 percent of people in the NPP stronghold were registered.
This clearly show that, if the Ghana card is used massive number of people in the NDC strongholds will not take part of the election and hence NPP will achieve their aim. But Captain Smart said this plan of theirs will never work because Ghanaians are already fed up of their governance and even the elections are held today they will lose by 89%.
