Black Stars captain Dede Ayew and Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez could reunite as the transfer window is yet to close. There is the possibility of the two coming together to work again after working at Al Sadd in Qatar.
Xavi Hernandez – before joining Barcelona – was the head coach of Al Sadd. At Al Sadd, he supervised a team that included Ghanaian international Dede Ayew.
When the coaching position of Barcelona became vacant, Xavi Hernandez as a former player, was contacted and hired, leaving Dede Ayew and his teammates in an imbalance.
In this summer transfer, there is the possibility for Barcelona to add Dede Ayew to their squad as they look to bolster their team ahead of next season.
Dede Ayew was an integral member of Al Sadd as they made an impact in the Qatari league. Al Sadd won the league with 62 points after 22 matches of the season.
Dede Ayew could not win the goal king award but let the chase and ended the season with 15 goals, 9 goals adrift of top scorer Olunga.
